Buildings are broken down the following categories: Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Parks. Each category has pre-specified colour palettes that the shader utilizes to randomize the colour scheme of each building. In these screenshots, all buildings use the same default colour palette: (pink, orange, and beige). Small buildings are 2x2 tiles, and large buildings are 4x4 tiles.
The pipeline for all buildings included modeling, texturing from a preexisting atlas, vertex colouring (for colour randomization and window illumination), and creating highly optimized LODs and shadowcasters (under 220 verts each). The smaller buildings (2x2 tiles) had a tri limit of 3000 tris, and the larger buildings (4x4 tiles) had a limit of 12000 tris. Vehicles had a limit of 220 verts, and texture size of 64x64 px.
